Heath care costs in the U.S. rose at twice the rate of inflation in 2008. National health spending is expected to reach $2.5 trillion in 2009, accounting for 17.6 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP). A study at NASA found that while the productivity of non-exercising employees decreased 50% during the final two hours of the workday, those who had an exercise plan in place worked at full efficiency all day. This represents a 12.5% higher overall productivity level in exercisers as compared to non-exercisers.

Studies at Dupont and General Mills, which implemented comprehensive wellness education and programming, found 14% to 19% reductions in absenteeism. General Electric reported an astounding 45% decrease in absenteeism.

In a study from the March 2009 issue of the Milbank Quarterly, one company that sponsored a corporate wellness program for 324 of its employees saved over $1 million and saw their participants’ medical costs drop 40% over a three-year period.

Our 3-Step Comprehensive & Customized Approach

Inspiring Health has developed a simple yet comprehensive three step approach to working with employees involved with our wellness program.  There is no “one size fits all” in providing wellness solutions.  Our diverse series of programs, educational and motivational presentations along with our personalized approach, support and on-call coaching is customized to your employees needs, schedules and interest level.

Step 1:  Participants complete a Health Risk Assessment to holistically identify behavioral and lifestyle risk factors (i.e., poor nutrition, excess stress sedentary lifestyle etc.)

Step 2:  A personal Health Risk Review meeting is held to discuss individual results and form a Personal Health Report Card.  Based on this, a personalized Health Improvement Plan using our SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely) program to develop a 90 day path to better overall well-being.

Step 3:  Enrollment in monthly education and awareness workshop, Quarterly 7 Day Sugar Cleanses and Yearly Group Weight Loss group programs, are implemented as well as our One on One Individual Coaching program.
